Position Title:  Executive Director, Lackawanna Bar Association, Scranton, PA 

Position Summary:  The Lackawanna Bar Association is seeking an Executive Director.  This challenging position is responsible for designing, leading and implementing programs and services that provide educational, community service, social and philanthropic opportunities for the Lackawanna County legal community.  Reporting directly to the Lackawanna Bar Association Board of Directors, this full time position is responsible for managing all Bar Association services, events, educational programs, and publications.  The person will help develop and grow the newly formed Lackawanna Bar Association Foundation.  The individual will direct a small staff and work in close support with all Bar Association committees, groups and volunteers.  The person will be responsible for budget, facilities and vendor management.  Additional information about the Lackawanna Bar Association can be found at www.lackawannabar.org. 

 The ideal candidate has all or most of these qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as the primary manager of an organization or department. 
  • Staff management experience.
  • A Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline.

  • Strong writing skills, ability to make oral presentations and office software skills.
  • Leadership experience in a not-for-profit organization and experience working with a not-for profit Board of Directors.
  • Experience with event planning and working with volunteers.
  • Knowledge of the legal profession and how it functions

Position Title: Divisional Controller, Manufacturing, Northeastern PA

Position Summary:  Divisional controller for a growing division of a large manufacturing and distribution company.  Reporting within the Finance Department but working hand in hand with the divisional business leaders, this person is the day to day controller for a multi-product business line.  The person will 1) analyze and report business operational trends, 2) prepare monthly transactions and journal entries, 3) conduct the monthly close, 4) coordinate financial planning and reporting, 5) report and analyze monthly variances.    This is an outstanding position for a dynamic and pro-active accounting professional who seeks an opportunity with continual challenges and growth opportunities.  This person will gain exposure to a sophisticated financial environment and participate in ongoing strategic projects.   

Company Description: Our client is a Northeastern Pennsylvania (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre) based manufacturing company with local administrative and manufacturing facilities. 

The ideal candidate must have:

  • 5-10 years as a controller or senior level financial analyst within manufacturing.
  • Experience within a complex and sophisticated financial environment.
  • A Bachelors in Accounting degree. 
  • Work history demonstrating advancement potential .
  •  Experience working with an integrated accounting and manufacturing package (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.).
  • Highly developed Excel and office software skills
  • Experience that demonstrates a willingness to do whatever it takes to meet deadlines, monthly close requirements, etc.  
  • Communication skills that allow the person to communicate effectively with both executives and production staff.
  • Ability to travel periodically to visit other facilities

Position Summary: Financial Consultant working on behalf of a commercial bank.  Provide a full range of financial planning and investment options to bank customers.  Work directly with individual and commercial customers of three substantial branches.  The position requires 2+ years as a licensed financial consultant.  Active Series 7, 6, 63 and PA insurance licenses required.  Candidates with an existing client book are desirable.   Bachelors degree is preferred.

Position Title: Commercial Credit Analyst, Northeastern PA

Position Summary: Credit Analyst position with a commercial bank located in Northeastern PA (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area).  This position is responsible for financial analysis of prospective commercial customers including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis, credit history analysis.   The person will prepare credit documentation required to obtain credit approval.  This position has a strong career path that can lead to multiple avenues within the bank and is an outstanding opportunity to gain experience within commercial banking.   

Our client is a commercial bank with a significant presence in Northeastern Pennsylvania (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area).

The ideal candidate for this position has: 

  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (several accounting classes required.)   There is a strong preference for an individual who has a GPA over 3.25.
  • 1+ years financial analysis experience preferably in a banking/financial services environment.
  • The ability to analyze cash flow and to spread financial statements.  
  • Strong PC skills with a high level of skill in Excel. 
  • Strong preference for candidates who are currently Northeastern PA residents and are familiar with the local economy and industry.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
